Helping you to enjoy the city
The Toddle > Where > The Barbican
Saturdays and Sundays
The Barbican is one of London's most iconic post-war housing developments opened in 1969. Located in the City of London, it combines the idea of a medieval walled town with the utopian dream of modern living. People live in flats with long balconies and also the high rises. These different buildings are connected by raised walkways to give you views of parks, lakes and the remains of the Old London Wall which formed the northern boundary of the Roman Londinium.
The Barbican Toddle is an exciting treasure hunt for toddlers, where they can discover a different period of London at almost every turn. As we will be on the raised walkways for pedestrians, the children can explore safely. It is also step free and suitable for buggies.
Due to the popular demand of this Toddle for Junior Open City we are adding morning Toddles here before heading off to Tottenham for the afternoon.
